Solid Waste and Recycling – East Bridgewater Department of Public Works

East Bridgewater Solid Waste and Recycling Program 2023 – 2024
This voluntary program is offered to East Bridgewater residents at a cost of $500 per year. The fee is billed bi-annually and is included with your water bill. For the $500 fee, you are entitled to the following services:

1 64-gallon trash bin and weekly collection
1 96-gallon recycling bin and bi-weekly collection
1 Recycle Center sticker for access to the Recycle Center when it is
open (generally the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month)
Collection of 1 bulky item per week. A bulky item is considered a
wooden or upholstered piece of furniture (table, chair, non-sleep sofa, etc.).
Access to Household Hazardous Waste collection day currently at no
additional cost.

Notes:

Excess trash needs to be put in yellow Town trash bags and placed at the curb next to your trash bin. Yellow town bags may be purchased at the Town Clerk’s office or the DPW office-49 Dean Place.
You may receive a 2nd set of bins (1 trash, 1 recycle) for an additional $250 Per year.
The Town of East Bridgewater reserves the right to discontinue the collection of solid waste and recycling and removal of trash and recycling bins for nonpayment of fees.
The Town reserves the right to not collect items in your bins that are considered hazardous waste.

The DPW is happy to announce that we are accepting styrofoam for recycling at the Recycle Center. As a reminder, you MUST have a Recycling Center sticker with you to gain access to the Recycle Center in order to drop off your Styrofoam. Styrofoam should be placed in a clear plastic bag provided at the recycling center.
